ABOUT ME

Ethan is a professional Actor (Stage and Screen) that is currently based in New York, NY. He's been acting essentially since he could speak, but his professional career started when he was about 13 as a Newsboy in Gypsy at Signature Theater. Throughout his high school years he balanced school with work, with his parents allowing him to do no more than one professional show a year. Ethan received a BFA from the University of Minnesota Guthrie Actor Training Program, where he honed his craft. Since then he's been acting professionally all over the country, from Wyoming, to Washington D.C. Ethan prides himself on his ability to grasp a character through the text, as he is classically trained in Shakespearian and Greek performance styles, and finds joy and interest in incorporating these techniques into different styles of play, film, and performance.

The Chosen
1st Stage Theater

"The four person production is trim and efficient to stage, yet it is complex and deeply engaging, thanks in large part to actor Ethan Miller’s wit, poise and timing as Reuven. The script, adapted by Aaron Posner and Chaim Potok from Potok’s bestselling novel, at times relies on long passages of narration. In Miller’s capable hands even the speeches that provide more context than action have movement and emotion."

The Last Match
(1st Stage Theater)

"Brilliantly embodying the young challenger’s drive, hunger, and athleticism, Miller also adeptly delivers Sergei’s trash-talking sense of humor, as the play unwinds its tale of the foes’ hard-fought match on-court, amid side glances to pivotal moments in their off-court lives..."

"...Miller rises above the script’s tendency to lean on Sergei as comic relief, and invests the guy with personality beyond his bad-boy insults, aggressive style of play, and mane of wild curls..."

This Much I Know
(Theater J)

"...But without doubt, the standout in the cast is Ethan J. Miller. He plays Harold, the student, along with a host of other roles throughout the play. Each one with a different accent, and each with a totally different personality. He is a young actor, who everyone will be hearing about; he is that good."
